Business Dynamics and Challenges

Business Activities: Thevu began with a simple but powerful idea: to provide high-quality cleaning services that cater to both individual households and corporate clients. Over time, the business has expanded its offering to include office cleaning, household cleaning, car wash services, and mobile cleaning solutions. This flexibility has made Thevu a convenient and trusted service provider for both residential and commercial customers.
Challenges/Needs: In its early stages, Thevu Commercial Services faced several obstacles that limited its growth potential: • Limited access to funding for equipment and operational needs. • Small workforce, which restricted the scale and speed of service delivery. • Reliance on small, inconsistent cleaning jobs without long-term contracts. • Lack of advanced tools and vehicles required to expand into mobile cleaning.

• Capacity Building: With improved assets and structured guidance, Thevu was able to diversify its service offerings, particularly introducing mobile cleaning solutions, which opened access to a wider client base.
Outcome Details: Thevu Commercial Services has experienced meaningful growth and development:
• Turnover Growth: Increased from R0 (previous assessment stage) to R92,800, reflecting new contracts and improved service delivery.
• Profitability: Achieved a net profit of R14,400, showing early financial stability.
• Employment Creation: Expanded staff capacity from 1 to 4 employees, contributing to local job creation.
• Operational Capacity: New assets have enabled the business to enter new markets such as mobile cleaning, broadening both reach and revenue streams.
• Sustainability: The company now has a foundation for growth with recurring clients in households, offices, and car wash services.
