Ntebza General Trading & Projects was first onboarded as a SEDFA client in March 2025, following its successful application for the Asset Assist Support Programme. An assessment using the Small Business Assessment Tool (SBAT) revealed the following key challenge:

After acquiring the franchise, start-up stock, and store shelving, the business urgently required additional capital to procure the pharmacy system server, IT infrastructure (including a retail pharmacy-specific Point-of-Sale system), and to provide staff training before operations could commence.

SEDFA’s intervention delivered significant benefits for the client:
• Successfully launched the retail pharmacy and commenced
operations.
• Increased sales revenue from R2,363,272.00 (at the time of the
initial assessment) to R2,623,015.00 (at the time of the
improvement assessment).
• Expanded the workforce from 4 employees (at the initial
assessment) to 7 employees (at the improvement assessment).
