Sedfa referred the client to Sibanye Mine’s Enterprise and Supplier Development
Programme, creating an opportunity for the business to benefit from structured
support, mentorship, and capacity-building. Through the programme, the client
will participate in business development training sessions and also stand a chance
to be registered as an official vendor with Sibanye Mine, which could open doors to
long-term supply opportunities. In addition, Sibanye Mine has enrolled the client in
a Higher Certificate in Management Development, a 12-month course designed to
strengthen their managerial and leadership skills. This qualification will equip the
client with essential knowledge in areas such as strategic planning, financial
management, operations, and people management, ultimately enabling them to
run their business more effectively, enhance competitiveness, and position
themselves for sustainable growth in the mining supply chain and beyond.
Assisted the client to apply for Mr Price Foundation’s Bindzu Youth Fund
Programme:
Sedfa supported the client with the application process for the Mr Price
Foundation’s Bindzu Youth Fund Programme, an initiative aimed at empowering
young entrepreneurs by providing access to much-needed resources. Through
this programme, a select number of MSMEs will receive funding to purchase
essential equipment that can improve efficiency and productivity. By applying, the
client stands a strong chance of benefiting from not only financial support but also
access to mentorship, capacity-building opportunities, and exposure to a broader
entrepreneurial network. This intervention positions the client to strengthen their
operations, reduce equipment-related constraints, and enhance their ability to
compete effectively in the market.

Sedfa’s support, the client acquired an Office Manager – Financial Management
System, which brought major improvements in record-keeping, bookkeeping, and
financial compliance. This intervention enabled the company to produce more
accurate reports, monitor cash flow effectively, and make data-driven decisions.
Costing and Pricing Training:
The client participated in a Costing and Pricing Training, which equipped them
with practical knowledge on how to accurately calculate production costs, set
competitive yet profitable prices, and understand the relationship between cost
structures and profit margins. This training also provided insights into marketbased
pricing strategies, value addition, and how to adjust prices in response to
changing market conditions. As a result, the client is now better positioned to
