Business Dynamics and Challenges
Business Activities:
Bassal Group (Pty) Ltd is a newly established company in the car wash sector, founded in 2020 by its passionate director, Mr. Potego Pesha. The company operates a physical car wash facility located at 250 Dudu Madisha Drive in Mokopane, as well as offering mobile car wash services in the surrounding areas. Mr. Pesha was driven by his vision to create a successful business that not only provides high-quality car wash services but also delivers convenience to its customers.
The inspiration behind the business ideology of Bassal Group (Pty) Ltd comes from the famous quote by Peter Drucker, "The best way to predict the future is to create it”. This quote resonated with Mr. Pesha, motivating him to take the necessary steps to turn his vision into reality. With dedication and perseverance, he invested R30,000.00 towards the initial startup costs of the business. This initial capital was utilised by Mr. Pesha as follows - R11,000.00 for a pressure washer, R4,000.00 for two tanks, R4,000.00 for a vacuum cleaner, R8,000.00 for chemicals and other essential supplies, and R3,000.00 for uniforms for the staff. This investment was crucial in setting up the foundation for Bassal Group’s operations, ensuring that the company had the necessary equipment and resources to deliver excellent service to its customers.
The company’s mobile car wash division has been making waves in the small town of Mokopane in the Limpopo province for the past two years, well-known for their prompt excellent service. Despite the challenges that when the company launched, it was at the peak of the COVID-19 crisis, Bassal Group saw an opportunity to provide a much-needed service and fill a gap in the market.
The company's motto, "Cars are their shine", encapsulates their dedication to ensuring that every vehicle they clean is made sparkling clean and looking as good as new. With a team of skilled and experienced professionals, Bassal Group has quickly gained a reputation for their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.
In response to the initial restrictions placed on car washes during the pandemic, Bassal Group pivoted their business model and introduced a new concept called "wash-it-online carwash". This innovative approach allows customers to simply call or text the company, and they will send a team to wherever the customer is located to provide their services. This convenient and efficient method has proved to be incredibly popular amongst busy individuals who value their time and appreciate the convenience of having their cars washed at their doorstep.
The success of Bassal Group can be attributed to their adaptability, customer-centric approach, and commitment to excellence. By staying true to their core belief that "Cars are their shine", the company has been able to carve out a niche for itself in the competitive car wash industry.
