In 2024, Client approached Seda Thabo Mofutsanyana Branch seeking business development support services in order to grow and increase sales. The business advisor performed a diagnostic analysis using the Critical Planning Exercise tool (CPE) to determine the business shortcomings and possible remedial interventions to support the business growth. The assessment report revealed the following challenges that needed urgent attention:
• The business has been in operation since 2024, with a lack in marketing initiatives and no visibility thus limiting its ability to attract new customers.
• The business needed assistance to increase the visibility of the business
• The business had a low turnover and was struggling to break through into the market
Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
A priority intervention included assisting the restaurant in creating signage that will maximise their visibility in their current location. Furthermore, Mrs Makara was assisted with an application for the Asset Assist program to access funding and purchase required machinery and equipment that will cater for the new production line and advance current operational processes.
Outcome Details:
Through Seda’s business support, the owner has realise the following benefits:
• The signage has improved visibility of the premises, therefore increasing sales, market share, and profit margins.
• The turnover of the business increased by approximately 100% from R0.00 in the 2024/25 financial year to R in the R440 000 2025/26 financial year.
• Employment has grown by 57% from two (2024/25) to seven (2025/2026) staff members.
• The signage has improved visibility of the premises, therefore increasing sales, market share, and profit margins.
