Intervention Details:
The client approached Sedfa in 2023 to solicit business development support services. An assessment was conducted, and it was established that Mr Caleni needed training in Basic Business Skills and Financial Management.
Similarly, a three-month mentorship and coaching intervention was proposed. It commenced in May 2024 and was completed in August 2024. This intervention assisted the business to obtain a Diamond Trading License to source diamonds and trade.

Outcome Details:
Sedfa’s interventions had a positive impact on the business. The turnover of the business increased from R0.00 in October 2024 to R118 000.00 in February 2025. Caleni & Co Pty Ltd also managed to create two (2) more jobs thus bringing the total number of employees to three (3). The long-term vision of the client is to access the African and international markets.
The client is gaining a lot of reputation in the trade as it is well based in the Namakwa district where most of the diamond operations in the area are done.
