Business Dynamics and Challenges
Business Activities:
Finbuck Trading (PTY) LTD (Deedee Hygiene Solutions)
Challenges/Needs:
1. Limited Access to Funding – Securing capital for expansion, purchasing equipment, and scaling operations is a major challenge, especially for small, black woman-owned businesses.
2. Competition with Established Brands – Larger, well-known brands have bigger marketing budgets, making it difficult for emerging businesses to gain visibility and customer trust.
3. High Cost of Raw Materials & Machinery – The rising cost of input materials and manufacturing equipment limits production capacity and profitability.
4. Infrastructure & Logistics Issues – Free State’s rural areas may face challenges such as poor road infrastructure, electricity shortages, and unreliable supply chains, affecting production and distribution.
5. Regulatory & Compliance Hurdles – Navigating complex industry regulations, certifications, and health & safety standards can be costly and time-consuming.
6. Market Access & Distribution – Expanding into national and international markets requires strong distribution networks, which can be costly for a growing business.
7. Skilled Workforce Shortages – While the business aims to upskill youth, finding experienced personnel in chemical manufacturing can be a challenge.
8. Economic Uncertainty – Fluctuations in the economy, inflation, and changing government policies impact consumer spending and business operations.
9. Limited Consumer Awareness – Without substantial marketing, reaching new customers and educating them on the benefits of the products is difficult.
