Business Activities: •The business idea that we have is an internet which is going to provide the community of Mount Frere with the best technology. Our business precisely is internet Café, we believe there is a need in Mount Frere to have an effective internet café where people will be able to do anything that might need internet without having to sometimes go to other towns because of incapable existing internet café. Our business is aiming to eradicate poverty by giving the youth of Mount Frere employment opportunities.

Challenges/Needs: •The immediate challenge of the business was lack of visibility as it was not easily seen by potential clients. The owner has since approached Sedfa for assistance with marketing of the business. •Sedfa assisted the business with signage as a marketing tool to increase visibility.

Intervention Insights and Results

Intervention Details: •The client was referred to a Business Advisor who, after consultation registered the client and conducted diagnostic assessments on the business. The assessment revealed that the business was very sensitive to either and increase or decrease of sales. One important issue the business had to focus on was to increase the turnover.
•A service provider was appointed to assist the business with signage to increase visibility.

Outcome Details: •Through the assistance received, the performance of the business improved the turnover increased by 98.9% from R300 000 to R596 640.
•Employment remained unchanged at 1 employee.
