Intervention Insights and Results

Intervention Details: Upon visiting SEDFA, the owner met with Business Advisor Mr Khauhelo Maruping, who conducted a full business diagnosis to identify gaps. The following support was provided:
• Ongoing business coaching and advisory support
• Assistance with applying for funding through the Asset Assist Programme
• Registration into the Globaleq Mentorship Programme
• Referral to NYDA for additional funding support (R50,000 applied for, site visit completed)
• Support towards QCTO accreditation for ICT training programmes
Outcome Details: As a result of these interventions, the business experienced measurable improvements such as:
• Turnover grew from R28,150.00 to R42,516.50, an increase of R14,366.50 which reflects a 51% growth in revenue.

• Expenses increased from R21,910.00 to R31,329.00 due to expanded operations, salaries and rental costs, representing a 43% increase — showing business scaling rather than decline.
• Net profit improved from R6,240.00 to R11,187.50, a growth of R4,947.50 which equals a 79% increase in profitability.
• Employment increased from 3 to 5 people, reflecting a 67% growth in jobs, with 2 new contract opportunities created and 3 jobs sustained including the owner.

Additional positive outcomes include improved internal systems and smoother daily operations, stronger confidence in managing finances and clients, better service delivery through upgraded equipment, increased trust from the local community, growing demand for training services, and steady progress towards formal accreditation which will strengthen the business’s long-term positioning in the ICT training space.
