•The location provides ample space for growing a variety of greens such as butternut, cabbage and spinach. The company’s market research has shown sufficient room for Ntaba LG Farm to grow and generate better sales that will make business sustainable.

•The immediate challenge of the business was lack of irrigation water system that will assist the business in growing high yield on vegetable crops. The owner has since approached Sedfa for assistance with access to funding for a water pump that will provide the necessary water supply to ensure optimal growth and quality throughout the season especially during dry periods.
Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
•The client was referred to a business advisor who, after consulting with the client, registered the client and conducted the diagnostic assessments on the business to ascertain the business needs. The assessment revealed that the business was very sensitive to sales and that it also required aggressive marketing.
Outcome Details:
•The performance of the business also improved in that the turnover increased by 11% from R276 572 to R306 088 as a result of the intervention they were assisted with by Sedfa.
