Intervention Details:
The business was subsequently supported with marketing material, including signage boards and flyers.
In addition, the client was enrolled in a Basic Business Skills Training programme to enhance business management capacity. The client also received coaching and advisory support and was guided to apply for grant funding with the Department of Agriculture for infrastructure development.

Outcome Details:
The intervention resulted in the following measurable impacts:
• Grant funding of R50,000 was awarded by the Department of Agriculture and utilised for the acquisition of irrigation drip systems. A further R20,000 grant was awarded by Polokwane Local Municipality and used to procure agricultural netting.
• Improved market access, with the business attracting new clients from its targeted market segments.
• Revenue growth of 134%, increasing from R25,200 at the time of intervention to R58,864 per annum at the impact assessment stage.
• Employment creation increased from 1 to 2 employees, resulting in 1 new permanent job, representing 100% employment growth.
