SEDFA assisted the business in accessing small business funding through the Office of the Premier’s Youth Fund Challenge Programme. The funding was intended to enable the acquisition of critical equipment, improve operational efficiency, and support the business’s growth objectives.

Outcome Details:
Following SEDFA’s intervention, the business achieved the following outcomes:
1. Through the Office of the Premier’s Youth Fund Challenge
Programme, the business was approved for a grant of R1 604
438.31, to be used for the acquisition of the following equipment
(upon disbursement):
• Forklift
• Baler machine
• Two pickup trucks with trailers
• Depot plant setup infrastructure, including fencing and
containers
2. Annual turnover increased from R55 000.00 (as at the
Assessment Date) to R91 500.00 (as at the Improvement
Assessment Date).
3. Employment increased from one (1) employee (as at the
Assessment Date) to three (3) employees (as at the
Improvement Assessment Date).
