Business Activities: The business was formally registered in 2018. The primary reason for its establishment was to capitalise on the local demand for convenient and essential household items within the Mohlakeng township, serving a critical need in a traditionally underserved market.
Challenges/Needs: A Small Business Assessment Tool (SBAT) Assessment was conducted on the business, and the following key challenges that hinder the growth of the company were identified: a. Capital and Stock Constraints – the business is undercapitalised and currently lacks the working capital to maintain optimal stock levels, resulting in missed sales opportunities and b. No sufficient inventory systems, and as a result, run a risk of suffering losses due to wastage.

Intervention Insights and Results

Intervention Details: A Small Business Assessment Tool (SBAT) Assessment was conducted, and the following recommendations and interventions were agreed upon with the client:
1. Offered a 3-day Inventory Management Training and
2. Facilitated access to funding to assist the client in acquiring trading stock.
Outcome Details: Sedfa interventions have highly assisted the business in the following manner:
 3 Days of Inventory Management Training were conducted,
 Funding was acquired through the W&RSETA Spaza Voucher Programme and Trading stock worth R6 000 was received and
 As a result, the client was able to employ an additional employee.
