These include limited access to funding, insufficient operational and office equipment, lack of access to export opportunities and international markets, and a need for stronger business linkages and mentorship. With SEDFA’s assistance, the company aims to scale production, diversify its offerings, enter global markets, and contribute to local economic development through sustainable job creation

Intervention Details:
Assistance with access to funding opportunities by applying for NEF, DESTEA and Dept of Agriculture fundings. This will afford the company to increase its footprint in the Free State by producing their products internally. Other interventions include Access to Markets;

Outcome Details:
Winner of the National Standard Bank Enterprise and Supplier Development Award in Agriculture. Secondly, Buttercup has signed a new 12 month contract with the Food Lovers Market as a supplier and also, signed with Makro and Take-Alot to be uploaded on their platforms this to enable clients to access their products easier.
