Since receiving support from Sedfa such as access to markets, access to funding to purchase machinery and tools, mentorship, etc., the business has achieved significant growth, successfully accessing new markets through partnerships with insurance companies and expanding its service offering with the purchase of a tow truck. However, as demand continues to rise, further assistance was required to upgrade infrastructure, design an efficient workplace layout, and secure additional market access to grow the client base in line with the increased operational capacity.

Through Sedfa’s interventions, JB Madela Bloem Golf Workshop has achieved remarkable growth and impact. Operational efficiency was significantly enhanced through the SEDFA (AAP), NYDA, DESTEA, and MERSETA, which were supported with the acquisition of tools and machinery, including skills transfer training. With RMI certification and upgraded facilities, the business successfully expanded its market reach, securing contracts with insurance companies and government departments, including a five-year agreement with the Department of Police, Roads, and Transport, and most recently, OUTsurance. Business was able to acquire a tow truck to expand services. Financially, the business’s revenue grew from R2 690 855 in 2024 to R4 335 753 in 2025, reflecting strong growth. Job creation was another key achievement, with five new jobs created and 15 positions sustained.
