Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
Lentsweleng Cooperative faced key challenges related to limited promotional materials and insufficient training. The founding members believed the cooperative lacked visibility, largely due to the absence of a signage board and branded materials like pull-up banners, which are essential for exhibitions and funding presentations. To address these issues, they sought support from a Business Advisor, and the cooperative was subsequently provided with promotional materials to enhance its public presence.
Outcome Details:
With support from Sedfa, Lentsweleng Primary Cooperative received valuable promotional materials, such as pull-up banner, teardrop flags, magnetic stickers, and a professionally designed business logo. This boost in branding and visibility led to a significant increase in annual turnover, rising from R250,000 to R450,000. Additionally, the cooperative expanded its workforce, growing from 13 to 23 employees.
