• The business had the potential to grow and expand but didn't have the capital or resources to do so.
• The director needed funding but lacked the skill and knowledge on how to access funding opportunities.

Intervention Details:
An assessment of the business was conducted, and the following recommendations were made and implemented:
• The client was assisted in applying for available funding opportunities through business development services, NYDA and SEDFA.
• The client was assisted with capacity building training (Financial management and EMPRETEC)
• Market facilitation through local pop -up market.

Outcome Details:
The following outcomes were a result of the interventions that were implemented:
• The business has now expanded and have opened a branch and now operating from two locations, which are Manningburg Ext 05, Ga-Kgapane and Dan, Nkowankowa.
• The business was able to access funding for structure and equipment and offer more services such as hair salon for braiding and styling, hair washing.
• With the elimination of rent, operation costs have decreased which is going to allow more cashflow flexibility for the business.
• The business turnover has increased from R68 178 to R195 178 which is 286%.
• One new employee has been created for the Kgapane branch
