Business Activities:
Ms Hlungwane visited the Sedfa Eden Branch to seek assistance with growing the
business. She was introduced to a Business Advisor who conducted a thorough
diagnostic assessment, Small Business Assessment Tool (SBAT), and Critical Planning Exercise (CPE) on the business. The CPE aims to plan and prepare financial
projections for twelve months or more
The assessment assisted the business in making accurate, realistic financial
predictions and developing a plan that significantly contributed to the business.
The following interventions were implemented:
• Facilitated attendance at a POP-UP market in Garden Route Mall.
• Facilitated attendance at a 10-month Coaching and Mentorship
programme;
• Facilitated access to finance, a grant from SANPARKS;
• Facilitated access to the equipment, Solar Panel, through the Industrial
Development Corporation (IDC), and
• Facilitated access to equipment through the Garden Route District
Municipality (GRDM).
Challenges/Needs:
The business experienced the following challenge:
• Lack of Coaching and Mentorship development;
• Lack of equipment;
• Lack of trade exhibition, and
• Lack of access to finance.

Outcome Details:
The following outcomes were achieved:
• Acquired equipment through the Garden Route District Municipality;
• Received grant from SANPARKS to the value of R 20 000, and
• Turnover increased from R 16 881 to R 22 110, an increase of 30 98%.
