The business manufactures clothing for both women and me apparel.Ms Neo also is a registered with Education Training and Development Practices (ETDP) Seta which assist to boost her business by educating students enrolled at Sivile NPO on the Clothing and textile.skills development.
Challenges/Needs:
When Sedfa conducted assessment on the business to ascertain suitable interventions to assist the client, the following challenges were identified:
Current Marketing and Customer relations are at base level. The business has knowledge of marketing methods and strategies but is not sufficiently armed to manage these marketing needs.
Limited marketing and promotion is done and the business is aware of customer needs and requirements but not adequately focused on.
Currently the marketing techniques are used but should be revised and correctly altered to ensure consistent growth in sales and client base.
Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
• After conducting an assessment, Sedfa appointed a service provider to do promotional material for the business and create a logo that can clearly identify with the target market.
• The client was sent to a one day exhibition in order to expand its market base and strengthen customer relations with the bigger market.
• The owner was coached internally on professionalism and customer care while attending the exhibition

Outcome Details:
• Sedfa intervention achieved the following outcomes:
The business got new clients post exhibition.
The corporate image is catchy and attractive to existing and potential clients.
Turnover increased from R25000 to R30 000 per annum.
Staff compliment increased from 1-2 employees.
