Challenges/Needs:
In 2023, the client approached SEDFA Thabo Mofutsanyana Branch seeking business development support to enhance growth and increase sales. A Business Advisor conducted a diagnostic analysis using the Critical Planning Exercise (CPE) tool to identify key shortcomings and recommend appropriate interventions to support the company's expansion. This resulted to the identification of the following gaps:
• Limited access to funding: Accessing finance to invest in infrastructure, training equipment and technology remains a significant challenge. Most local businesses struggle to meet the stringent requirements of financial institutions.
• Outdated equipment and training resources: The lack of up-to-date training tools, such as functional tablets, firearms, and digital systems, hinders the delivery of modern and effective training solutions.
• Infrastructure and facility constraints: Many training facilities in the area are either underdeveloped or lack essential features such as reliable internet, secure storage for firearms, and adequate classroom space.
