Mentoring and Coaching: The owners and employees require ongoing mentoring and coaching capacitation to further grow the business 2. Access to Funding: One of the biggest challenges for Madochi General Trading is accessing finance or funding for their projects. The business struggles to secure loans or financing from financial institutions due to factors such as lack of compliance, collateral or credit history. 3. Cashflow challenges: Late payment or non-payment by clients can lead to cash flow problems for Madochi General Trading, making it difficult for them to meet their financial obligations, such as paying their employees and suppliers. 4. Market Linkages: The business experiences challenges with securing its own contracts and consistently needs to subcontract to survive.

Intervention Details: • Mentorship and Coaching: Through the 10-month Seda Enterprise Coaching Programme, Madochi General Trading was assisted under the following topics: (a)strategic financial management, (b)total self-mastery, (c)marketing fundamentals, (d)productivity and doing business with AI, (e)developing your sales process, (f)managing your finances, (g)personal productivity & seasonal sales, (h) mindset shift for entrepreneurs and (i)fundamentals of scaling a business
• Implementation of Financial Management System: The business was assisted with a financial cleanup, the compiling of two years financial statements and five-year financial projections. They then received a financial Management system which they were also trained on.
Outcome Details: 1. Mentoring and Coaching: Through the SECP programme, the owners gained essential skills in financial management, marketing, and compliance. This empowerment enabled them to approach business operations with greater confidence and professionalism.
2. Implementation of Financial Management System: As a direct result of Sedfa’s support in navigating the funding landscape, the business now for the first time has annual financial statements and projections that they can use to access funding opportunities.
3. Employment: The business currently employs 4 people, which has resulted in 2 jobs sustained and 2 jobs created.
4. Turnover: The turnover was sustained at R270 360.00.
