Mr Kwena Malesela Kgosana visited a Sedfa office needing support to grow his business. Through Sedfa’s assessment of company operations, the following development aspects were identified:
• Assistance with understanding and application of Quality Management System (QMS).
• Access to finance to aid in growing and scaling the business to enhance competitiveness, sustainability and profitability.
• Re-branding to enhance professional image and quality packaging material.

• The client participated in a Sedfa organised two-day intensive training on Quality Management Systems.
• The business received assistance in developing a Business Plan, along with access to funding through NYDA.
• The company was also assisted with a Packaging and Branding intervention.

Outcome Details:
• QMS training improved the knowledge of the entrepreneur and confidence to secure more business in the form of purchase orders from local schools.
• Annual turnover increased from R737 768 to R950 000, a 22% growth.
• The business has since created 3 more jobs.
• They also obtained a business grant from NYDA for a total of R49,990.00.
