Sam Molobi (PTY) LTD Pty Ltd has land and a holding pan/house to keep the chickens before slaughter. The aim of the project is to acquire extra 2000 chickens per month. The business is well positioned to serve diverse range of clientele including the following, local individuals, mostly retail outlets, fast foods outlets, tshisanyama`s, individual households and contractors of government department and anyone lazy to de-feather a chicken. One of the main strengths of the business is that they also de-feather/plugging chickens at clients request which in near future will be standard offering at Sam Molobi (PTY) LTD.
Sam Molobi (PTY) LTD struggled with access to funding to increase broiler production. The company relied on 600 capacity chicken house which was not enough to be sustainable. This has had a detrimental impact on the company's growth and development when compared to competitors who use have enough capacity to meet demand by the market.
The business practice sustainable trade and ethical business principles and the owner strives to make a difference in the community by hiring local young people. The business is well positioned to be a leading broiler supplier in the Lephalale area.

• To enhance chances of accessing funding and boost sales, SEDFA assisted and prepared clients to participate at Exxaro Pitch for Funding 2024- Pitching presentation.
Outcome Details:
• Client managed win R250 000.00 from Exxaro Pitch for Funding Competition.
• Turnover increased from R271 347.00 to R292 300.00 pa, a 7.72% growth.
• The business created additional jobs, increasing employment from 1 to 4 permanent employees.
