Business Activities: His business is customer friendly in terms of internet services and revenue generation that the business is supposed to provide in the community. The business is mainly situated in Matatiele where business services and products are given to the people, Lorsibookshop established the stable clientele all over to mention the few Matatiele and Maluti. After conducting a lengthy survey, he rented an office space and started with three computers. His mission is to empower the community of Matatiele with computer and job training.
Challenges/Needs: The main challenge of the business was the lack of equipment as the business wanted to increase productivity capacity to fulfil larger orders. To improve sales within the company, there has to be increased effort to reach markets in and around Matatiele. To this regard, the company has since approached Sedfa for assistance with access to funding to accommodate higher demand and serve more customers efficiently. Sedfa already assisted the company with branding as a marketing material to increase visibility. People started noticing the business and it’s services.

Intervention Insights and Results

Intervention Details: The client was referred to a Business Advisor who, after consulting with the client, registered the client and conducted diagnostic assessments on the business. The assessment revealed that the business was very sensitive to either and increase or decrease of sales. One important issues the business had to focus on was to increase the turnover.

I assisted as the Business Advisor to meet all the requirements for the business to access funding via Asset Assist program to the value of R250 000 which was successful.
Outcome Details: Through the increased marketing efforts, the performance of the business improved in that the turnover increased by 87% from R69 800 to R130 570.

Employment has remained the same at 4 employees.
