The client approached Sedfa branch for assistance. The business was assessed, and action plan was developed. The client was assisted with business and access to funding under Asset Assist Programme (AAP).
Outcome Details:
The interventions yielded positive results. The business successfully accessed the AAP grant to the value of R250,000 to acquire machinery and equipment as well as raw material to build new mobile cold rooms. AAP grant funding assisted the business because their production went up from building 1 mobile coldroom per month at R35,000 each to 2 Coldrooms per month at 35,000. ABCO managed to acquire more market and service more clientele and also provided 1 mobile coldroom on a rented basis to the public which boosted their cashflow. The business monthly revenue increased from R35,000 per month to R70,000 per month. The business employment increased from 2 to 3 people in the process. Turnover improved from R300,000 p/a to R420,000 p/a.
