A Small Business Assessment Tool Assessment was conducted on the business and the following challenges/ needs were identified:
1. The company attained a 5-year contract with Enza Construction (Pty) Ltd as a subcontractor for plumbing services and the company has no funds to purchase required equipment and materials.
2. The company is currently not adhering to construction industry standards – the company has no safety file and has no funds to acquire one.
Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
An SBAT Assessment was conducted, and the following recommendations and interventions were agreed upon with the client:

Outcome Details:
Sedfa Interventions has highly assisted the business in the following manner:
1. The client was assisted with the compilation of financial projections and applying for Sedfa’s Asset Assist Programme. They were approved for the value of R243 612.02. The company was able to purchase materials, PPE, and all equipment and tools.
2. An intervention to compile a safety file was initiated for the client – the safety file was submitted to the main contractor and approved.
3. As a result of the funding and the compilation of a safety file, the company has been able to create an additional 5 jobs.
