Folang House of Health Clinic was established by Ledile Ramphela who has served on the health industry as a nurse for over 30 years. When she went on pension, she needed to do something to keep herself active so she set up Folang House of Health Clinic with the help of the daughter. She used a portion of money from her own pension funds to set up the business. As part of the ground work, she enrolled for dispensary course which would help in rendering some of the basic clinical services.
Folang House of Health Clinic renders primary health care services such as the following:
• Family planning
• Minor illnesses
• Baby wellness
• Antenatal/postnatal clinic
• Circumcision
• Wound dressing
• HIV/AIDS Counselling and testing
• Chronic medication distribution

The business challenges have been mainly inability to create awareness to the potential market.

The business has managed to attract clients and has recorded many enquiries. This is owing to the website and marketing collaterals. The business has grown from sales of R180,000 to R325,431.44. The business employment statistics has increased from 1 to 4.
