Business Activities:
The business manufactures clothing such as school uniforms in a form of shirts, t shirts, tracksuits and other types of clothing. Other types of clothing are manufactured on request. The business is also doing printing and embroidery on clothing. The clients are mainly corporates, the local municipality of Tzaneen and NGOs. The business is also doing business marketing collaterals to mainly other small businesses. Items such as flyers, logos, letterhead, banners, advertising boards and business cards are manufactured inhouse. The business is also offering printing and photocopying services to walk in clients.

Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
(i) Assessment
The business advisor interviewed the client to understand the concept and offered counselling. The business advisor also assisted the client to do financial projections as one of the efforts to determine the viability of the concept. A GAP analysis tool was utilized to assess the client. The following action plans we identified:
(ii) Access to finance, SEDFA Asset Assist
The client was assisted to put the documents together in preparation for asset assist application. The application was successful and the client was funded with an amount of R171,819.30 to purchase a large format printer that can printed large objects such as banners, posters and so on.
(iii) Access to finance, SEFA
The client was assisted to put together documents to apply for funding from SEFA. The application was successful, and client was given a funding of R327,750 to buy a 4 heads embroidery machine.

The business turnover changed from R1,177,609 at assessment stage to R2,457,133 per annum. This is an increase of 109%.

The business employment has increased from 5 to 7 (including) the owner.
