Intervention Insights and Results

Intervention Details: Seda provided valuable support to Rovno Foods in preparation for an international trade exhibition. Upon the client’s visit, the Business Advisor assessed the company’s needs and facilitated the development of marketing materials, including banners and wall displays, to enhance Rovno Foods’ booth visibility. Additionally, Seda helped create a QR code for a virtual business card, allowing potential clients to easily access Rovno Foods' contact details and online presence. Seda also offered guidance on maximizing the impact of these materials during the event and referred Rovno Foods to further opportunities for export development and scaling. Furthermore, Seda provided continued support, suggesting avenues for export readiness training and resources to help the company expand internationally. The intervention ensured that Rovno Foods was well-prepared, enhancing its international presence, fostering new business connections, and positioning the company for continued growth and success.
Outcome Details: Rovno Foods’ brand visibility skyrocketed, leading to new market opportunities. Interest from distributors in Botswana signaled the start of the company’s expansion into international markets. The exhibition exposure, along with the enhanced marketing materials, helped Rovno Foods increase its turnover from R400,000 to R572,581, reflecting an impressive 43% growth. More clients came on board, both locally and internationally, and Rovno Foods saw more retail orders and inquiries from potential partners.
Perhaps one of the most significant changes for Noxolo was the company’s move from her kitchen to a proper production facility. With the increased demand and growth, Rovno Foods has now secured a factory space at the MAPSEZ (Multi-purpose Agri-Park and Special Economic Zone) in Tshaime, Harrismith. This means Noxolo is no longer working out of her kitchen but instead operates from a more professional and scalable space that can accommodate the growing needs of her business.
The growth in revenue and expansion into new markets also led to the hiring of two additional staff members, bringing the team to a total of three. With the support from Seda, Rovno Foods has become more efficient in its operations, with streamlined financial management and improved administration. The company’s professional image, bolstered by high-quality marketing materials and a clearer brand presence, has made customer interactions smoother, while Noxolo’s team is gaining valuable skills in business management and operations.
Rovno Foods’ success didn’t stop there. With the move to a larger factory, Noxolo is now better positioned to meet the increased demand, and the company’s expanded reach has opened doors to further opportunities, including future export development and possible funding for further growth.
