The client visited Seda’s offices in 2021 to seek business advisory and guidance support. Seda Practitioner conducted the necessary business diagnosis and the results of the diagnosis recommended the following interventions:
Register the client for business and industry-related training programmes;
Refer the client to Lejweleputswa Health Services to apply for the Certificate of Acceptability;
Assist the client in conducting market research and develop an effective marketing strategy for their business;
Advise the client on how to cost and price their products;
Assist the client with marketing and branding material;
Assist the client with access to small business grant funding applications; and
Refer the client to Matjhabeng LED Directorate for land and equipment support.

Acquired a Certificate of Acceptability from the Lejweleputswa Health Services;
Advised on the effective use of online and social media marketing platforms;
Managed to create an effective cost and pricing system that led the business to be profitable;
Developed a signage board for the client to be visible and attract more customers;
Benefited from the Harmony Gold Mine, DESTEA and Matjhabeng LM’s youth business support;
Approved for the Seda Asset Assist programme to the value of R 194,409.00; and
Recently approved for the NYDA Small Business Grant.
These interventions had a positive impact on the business and the society through the following:
Business turnover increased by more than 10% in the past six (6) months;
Created employment opportunities for youth people from Kutloanong;
Increased market access since the installation of a signage board that was supported by Seda;
Improved productivity with the equipment and machinery received through the Seda Asset Assist Programme;
Have won various awards from the Department of Agriculture Lejweleputswa; and
Their customer service improved after hosting a Customer Service Learnership participant.
