Challenges/Needs:
The client Spot-On-Fire Controls has been having two main challenges:
• with access to local market (attending exhibitions to enhance clientele for his business). The client is operating at Chesterville, however, after Seda conducted the assessment, it was discovered that the target market around the township area is not aware of this business and needs to market his business in other arears to. The client does have a logo, however, they need additional marketing material like gazebos, wall banner and etc., to have market days even inside malls because that is where the target market of the business is.
• Access to finance: the business needed to acquire critical equipment that will boost their operations, improve efficiencies and reduce costs. The business was hiring expensive equipment, at a very hight daily rates from other businesses. Sometimes they would try to hire out the machine and they would be told that it has already been rented out.
The client has requested Seda’s intervention in this regard.

• Enhanced Marketing Presence: A service provider was appointed to assist client with various marketing materials and the client received grant which assisted the business in acquiring the necessary equipment.

Outcome Details:
• Turnover Increase: The turnover increased from R568,579.50 to R2,526,009.67, a change of R1,957,430.17.
• Employment Increase: The number of employees increased from 9 to 12, creating 3 new job opportunities.
• Revenue Growth: The business experienced significant revenue growth due to the acquisition of assets and enhanced marketing efforts.
• Profit Increase: Net profit increased from R135,009.12 to R1,183,556.11. Increase of R1,048,546.99.
• Expense Increase: Total expenses increased from R433,570.38 to R1,342,453.56, primarily due to higher rent and direct labour costs.
