The owner approached SEDFA Mangaung branch for assistance. An assessment was conducted, and action plan was developed. The client was assisted with the following interventions:
The client was by SEDFA Mangaung branch referred to PDTS (Product development Technology Specialists) to assist with development of his food vendor mini outlet into a final product. PDTS assisted the client to with the designs and development of a prototype of the mobile vendor machine. On completion, the client was also referred to exhibit his product at the the SABS Roadshow which was hosted in Botshabelo as part of access to local markets initiative. The client was referred to food safety training in Thaba Nchu

Outcome Details:
The initial outcomes of the action plan and interventions yielded positive results for the business. After the PDTS assisted the client with development of his new vendor, the business was officially launched in January 2025. The client employed 2 people and business month revenue increase from R0,00 to R36,000 p/m.
The client is looking to maximise his income by manufacturing more vendors with the purpose to sell them to the MSMEs in the chisanyama and cooked foods sector and even rent it out at a fee as part of his scale up initiative. The food safety training also assist client with regards to how to handle food in a hygienic manner before serving clients
