The business was registered in 2023 as a Private Company. Brew Tech is owned by Mr Luke Forbes and Mr Lubabalo Menze both shares equal shareholding percentage in the business. The business aims to meet the growing demand for maintenance and repair of coffee machines, as coffee consumption continues to rise. Their services include diagnostic and repairing technical issues, routine maintenance and installation of new coffee machines. Both on-site and in-shop services will be offered to cater to a wide range of clients. Marketing efforts will focus on building partnerships with local coffee shops, restaurants, and offices. Additionally, online marketing through a professional website and social media platforms will be utilized to reach residential clients. The company provides high quality service and excellence. All customers serviced by Brew Tech are happy and often recommend the business to new customers. The day-to-day management of operations, marketing and compliance is the responsibility of Mr Luke Forbes. They understand that accountability of service delivery is one of the most important key performance indicators for any service provider. Currently they have a contract with all checkers stores around Gqeberha.
Challenges/Needs:  Lack of funding to purchase necessary equipment and machinery.  The business required advisory assistance to grow their market.  As a growing business, Brew Tech required assistance in managing operations more effectively to compete in the market and increase its market share

Intervention Insights and Results

Intervention Details: To address these challenges, Brew Tech sought assistance SEDFA and was assisted by Thabo Ngwadla, Business Advisor in the Nelson Mandela Bay Branch, conducting an assessment of the business. After identifying the key gaps, he recommended a series of interventions to help move the business forward.
Luke Forbes applied for the IMEDP incentive, which provided him with the necessary financial support. This assistance enabled the business to acquire the required maintenance equipment and helped to increase its operational efficiency
Outcome Details:  The IMEDP incentive application was approved, and the business now owns additional equipment and has increased capacity.
 The turnover grew from R 389 580 to R 461 580 representing an increase in revenue.
 Employment grew from 2 to 4 employees, including director, contributing to job creation
