The kitchen is fully equipped, and the bedrooms offer stylish en-suite comfort whilst fully furnished with luxurious furniture in keeping with their Guesthouse 3-star grading. They realized that there are Government Departments in Mount Frere that have people visiting from various towns and there is a need of accommodation. During their research they noted that a Guesthouse with a conference center would be a viable business in the area.

The immediate challenge of the business was lack of visibility as it was not easily seen by potential clients. The owner has since approached Seda for assistance with marketing of the business.

Intervention Details:
The client was referred to a Business Advisor who, after consultation registered the client and conducted diagnostic assessments on the business. The assessment revealed that the business was very sensitive to either and increase or decrease of sales. One important issue the business had to focus on was to increase the turnover.

Outcome Details:
Through the increased marketing efforts and improved visibility, the performance of the business improved in that the turnover increased by 33% from R1 332 941 to R1 778 524.
