Business Activities: Ciar Creations is a business designing, manufacturing and installing built-in cupboards, TV Stands and wal wardrobes. This is a private company owned by a woman called Ivy Teffu (Mme wa maplanka) meaning the wood lady was established in the year 2019. The company is 100 % woman and youth owned assisting with their BBBEE scorecard. The owner left the corporate world to ensure sustainability and growth of the business. After taking such a risk she realised that she had to make her business work therefore she needed help with the business growth. In Ms Teffu’s previous line of work she used to be a designer for installers which gave her an advantage when she started operating her own business. The experience she has, puts her in an advantageous position as she is able to start with concept development through a 3D presentation to prospective clients then she gets the job based on conceptualisation and customisation as per client needs. At first she was just doing designs and referring carpenters to go do installations and she found that clients would complain about the service or workmanship of carpenters so that’s where she saw a gap in the market.
