Business Dynamics and Challenges

Business Activities: The business is owned by Abieda Hendricks, who started operating in 2021. Abieda wanted to fulfil her dream and passion for sewing and making unique clothing for customers and matric balls. Abieda was looking for a hobby and found an organisation offering sewing classes. She enjoyed the first 5 classes and decided to make a business out of it and to help her family financially. The business is based in Surrey Estate in a small home based sewing workshop. She makes all forms of clothing and recently started making affordable washable panty liners which was a hit for her female customers. She also makes scrunchies and mini purses as well as winter knitted clothing. Her prices are much more affordable than the clothing shops due to her sourcing her fabric and materials from specific suppliers who she has built up a relationship with.
