Client Feedback
Client Comments:
SA Government through its SMME's Support Programs like SEDA and others had a massive impact to our business, Decent Ville Shisanyama & Guesthouse. Specifically, SEDA, helped us through three interventions:
1 - Marketing & Promotional Material during Business Startup
2 - Marketing & Promotional Material during Business Rebranding
3 - Asset & Stock Acquisition to Business Growth Support
1 - Marketing & Promotional Material during Business Startup
SEDA assisted us to market our newly developed 2 Rooms Guesthouse in August 2017, seven (7) years ago. At that time, we had no means to advertise our guesthouse and that made it difficult for us to introduce our business to the market attract customers. Seda assisted us with marketing materials which included Website, Business Cards, Pamphlets, and most importantly Street Boards, which were placed at different strategic points around our business. That intervention helped us to get more customers and pushed us to quickly build additional 2 rooms in order to accommodate the increasing demand.
2 - Marketing & Promotional Material during Business Rebranding
Last year, 2023, we decided to venture into new markets and expand our business to include selling meals and beverages, events hosting under as Shisanyama brand. Again, SEDA assisted us to rebrand our business from being a guesthouse to a Shisanyama. The assistance included Fliers, Banners, and once more, rebranded Street Boards. This business support assisted Decent Ville to be known to a larger market. The results included hosting various private and corporate functions including School Governing Body meetings, Birthday Parties, Baby and Bridal Showers, Mr & Mrs Mmakau, Business Meetings, and many more. Furthermore we hired more employees during this phase and experience the expected potential of our business to grow further.
3 - Asset & Stock Acquisition to Business Growth Support
Recently in 2024, SEDA once more came to our rescue and provided for crucial missing equipment and stock to help sustain our business. Through Asset Assist programme we manage to acquire enough stock for our business (meals and beverages), fridge, TV Set, Pool Table, and other business support materials including cleaning products etc. This is the most and important intervention to our business success, just in less 2 weeks we see increasing profitability due to availability of stock to serve our ever-increasing customer demands. Decent Ville can now capture the market of Sport Fanatics who enjoy watching Soccer and other sporting codes while dining and enjoying our cold beverages. Furthermore, we acquired a Pool Table/Snooker, a get attraction to capture a different market who plays local leagues. These pool competition gatherings attacks lots of Snooker Fanatics/Fans and while they enjoy the game they buy our meals, beverages and as a bonus, had access toa clean cooling swimming pool. We are already seeing an increase in number of customers to our venue.
These business support interventions, coupled with our self-funded structural renovation program proved to be very effective even now, just few days after acquiring the assistance and structure finalised.
Without SEDA interventions, as Decent Ville we were not going to achieve the kind of progress we observe today. More important to us, this progress we are observing, give us more confidence that our business plan is solid, and the projections and targets we gave ourselves in the beginning are highly achievable.
We are now embarking on a massive Marketing Campaign to ensure we get our venue filled all the time. We provide to our customers Decent Meals, Decent Beverages, Decent Events, Decent Swimming Experience, Decent Customer Service etc. All this is possible due to the assistance we received from SEDA and for that we will forever be grateful. Thanks to SEDA support staff, the business consultant who always is available to assist us Tebogo Mohudi and the advises we receive from the manager Mike, always pushing us out of your dreams toward a reality. We are very happy and thankful indeed.
Thank you. SEDA
