Business Dynamics and Challenges
Business Activities:
O and R Products (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2018 by two dynamic young directors, Miss Refiloe Mohono and Mr. Optimist Philiso. Both being Black youth entrepreneurs, the company holds a Level 1 BBBEE status. Initially operating from Mr. Philiso’s home in Vereeniging, O and R Products have grown steadily and recently acquired Sebokeng Cosmetics, a well-known cosmetic store situated in the Sebokeng Complex. This acquisition has marked a significant milestone in the company's expansion into the retail market.
O and R Products operate across two distinct business divisions: manufacturing and retail. The manufacturing division focuses on producing innovative, eco-friendly products, one of their flagship items being "Complete Comfort," a biodegradable shoe and foot deodorizing spray. This product is made using aromatherapeutic essential oils and various natural ingredients aimed at providing freshness and comfort, while also being gentle on the environment. Their focus on sustainability in product development reflects their
commitment to creating products that are not only effective but also environmentally conscious.
In the retail division, O and R Products purchase and sell a wide range of cosmetic and hair care items, catering to a diverse clientele. Their product offerings span both traditional and modern cosmetic lines, ensuring that they meet the needs of their community while staying competitive in the beauty and wellness industry.
This unique combination of manufacturing and retail allows O and R Products to create a well-rounded business model that supports both local production and customer-oriented retail services.
