Business Dynamics and Challenges
Business Activities:
Rams Professional Training and Conferencing (Pty) Ltd (RPTC) is a private firm founded by Mr. and Mrs. Ramatlho, a married couple. RPTC was founded in 2014 to provide training services. In 2020 during the covid pandemic, the company diversified and launched Angela Care. Angela Care is a South African organic skin and hair care company. This division was launched in response to the growing need for natural self-care products, with a mission to
help people maintain their health and wellness during a challenging time. Angela Care specialises in a wide range of high-quality, natural products, including handmade soap bars, body butters, massage bars, hair products, and more, all of which are lab-tested and SABS compliant. As a 100% Black-owned and 51% women-owned company, Angela Care prides itself on its commitment to empowering youth, with 100% of its ownership being youth-led. The founder, Koketso Ramatlho, has always been passionate about health and wellness, and her vision for Angela Care is to provide safe, effective products that empower individuals to take charge of their skin and hair health. The company's ethos centers around using sustainable and organic ingredients, such as moringa and turmeric, to promote natural radiance and overall well-being.
Angela Care has garnered significant recognition, including prestigious national awards like the Presidential Award in 2023, which highlights its impact both provincially and nationally.
The company has also represented South Africa at international trade shows, showcasing its products in countries such as the United States, Egypt, and Turkey. Through its commitment to sustainability, diversity, and inclusivity, Angela Care aims to inspire a movement of self-love and care, where everyone can feel beautiful and confident in their skin and hair.

Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
The client was previously assisted with product testing and export preparedness interventions. After six months, they were evaluated for improvement, and it was recommended that they undergo another assessment to find relevant interventions to support
and boost their business. After a re-evaluation, deficiencies were found in the product packaging status—it did not adhere to international standards. Additionally, it was discovered
that the client needed exposure to prospective target markets in international markets and that they needed to expand their manufacturing machinery and equipment in order to meet current demand from around the world. The following recommendations and interventions were agreed upon with the client:
1. Facilitating access to international trade exhibitions and mission trips,
2. Facilitate access to funding through the Pitch and Perfect competition and Asset Assist Programme and
3. Design and Supply of Packaging.
