Brights Experts (PTY) LTD was established in August 2016 by Ms. Petunia Masenya. The business is based in Mokopane under Mogalakwena Local Municipality in Waterberg District of Limpopo. The owner has worked as a teacher for five (5) years until she pursuit her passion for business fulltime from 2022. The business is registered as private company, bears registration no. 2022/469912/07 and is 100% youth, black women owned business. Bright Experts is operating an Artificial Intelligence (virtual reality) business, targeting school children; and they are also manufacturing aluminium products targeting local households that are building in Mogalakwena and surrounding areas.
The aluminium products that they are manufacturing are window frames, burglar proofs, electric garage doors and they also do repairs for these products. There is large demand for aluminium products in Mokopane as more and more people prefer aluminium than traditional steel products. The market for the aluminium products is vast, it included private household, companies, public sector (government department) municipalities and NGO`s.
Bright Experts (PTY) LTD also offers ICT training and Support, Educational Support Programme which includes E-Learning Facilitation. This business venture is provided mainly to learners in primary school phase is mostly rural and township school. This is to expose learner to the world of e-learning and science.
To ensure business sustainability through proper financial management, the owner attended training in financial management that was sponsored by SEDA after realising the need for such intervention.
Challenges/Needs:
Discussions with Waterberg Business Advisor & Assessment of business revealed, amongst other things the following weaknesses:
• Lack of branding resulting in poor marketing
• Inadequate financial management skills
• Need of modern and additional AI equipment

Intervention Details:
• Seda supported the Client to attend Financial Management training. This training taught the client different methods of bookkeeping, budgeting, income statement and balance sheet, thus improving the business’s financial viability
• SEDA assisted client to complete and submit NYDA application for funding.
• Business was assisted with development of marketing materials to address branding and assist to access local markets.

• Financial controls improved in the business thus ensuring financial sustainability.
