All business operation are performed at the house of Mrs Emma Mofokeng who is the owner of the business and a resident of Namahadi township. She is assisted by her granddaughter. The business has started by cooking fat cakes , baking buns, cakes and biscuits. Some of the business offerings were affected by the COVID-19 epidemic and the movement restrictions. Since the lifting of restrictions the business has mainly been baking buns and cakes/biscuits. The business has not been marketed aggressively due to capacity challenges. They currently rely on 1 stove but aspire to grow significantly. They are baking biscuits and selling them from home, in town as well as in the industrial areas of Frankfort. The business is a beneficiary of the IMEDP from DSBD facilitated by SEDA.

Client Feedback

Client Comments: ‘SEDA made us happy because they have assisted with fat cakes stove which is more efficient on time, we no longer have to be awake very early to prepare the wood and coal stove for cooking fat cakes. We hope SEDA can assist us in getting a bigger container to work from, as we have identified lots of opportunities. We appreciate a lot, wish that our ambitions can materialise. We thank you a lot .’
