While working as councillor she also had a side business as seamstress manufacturing traditional clothes and supply protective clothing to companies in Lephalale. At the height of Medupi Power Station construction, she had a contract of supplying protective clothing to different companies and she still does supply to small number of remaining companies. When the Medupi project was completed, Ms. Mosima solely concentrated on clothing and textile business. Bolokang Matilo Trading Enterprise was formally registered as a close corporation in 2008 under the Company's Act, 2008 No.71 of 2008, with the registration number 2008/223943/23.
The owner of Bolokang Matilo Trading Enterprise always had a passion for sewing, which she turned into a business. The business owner has a wealth of experience, talent, and a strong passion for sewing. She is a natural born leader, entrepreneur, as seen by how she invested money from his savings to build the business into what it is now. The money was utilized to buy sewing machines, embroidery and printing machines, then business started operating in 2008.
Bolokang Matilo Trading Enterprise main target market is local community, churches, power station, mines, and local municipality. Bolokang Matilo Trading Enterprise sells manufactured products around Mokopane community and at the Medupi Power Station main entrance.
To ensure quality and a reliable service the owner attended training in Quality Management System. Training was sponsored by SEDA after realising the need for such intervention.

Challenges/Needs:
Having lost a significant amount of sales due to the completion of the construction Medupi Power Station, the entrepreneur faced a challenge of having to diversify their offerings in order to attract and supply a different targe market. Through Seda’s assessment of the business, the following development aspects were identified:
• Client struggled in producing quality products which had a negative effect on sales growth
• Insufficient exposure and recognition among target market due to lack of marketing.
• Lack of QMS-ISO 9001 certification
• Inadequate working tools and equipment

Intervention Details:
Seda supported the Client to attend training in Quality Management Systems. This training taught the client different methods of manufacturing quality products that meet market demand and improving the business’s services offering and business turnover.
Outcome Details:
• Improved product quality led to increased volume of orders.
• The business turnover went from R5 128 308.00 to R5 182 684.00, a 1.05% increase.
• Increased revenue led to hiring two (2) additional local employees.
