Intervention Insights and Results

Intervention Details: Mr Elton Olivier approached Seda for assistance in June 2017; he consulted with one of the
Business Advisors who conducted a Critical Planning Exercise (CPE) on the business. The CPE
is a planning tool that prepares financial projections for twelve months or more and
simulates various "what if" scenarios. It assisted them in making accurate, realistic financial predictions and a plan to significantly contribute to the business viability. The CPE showed
that the business income needs to improve to ensure sustainability.
The following interventions were implemented:
• Facilitation of mentorship programme;
• Development of Marketing material, and
• Development of Online Programme.
Outcome Details: Through Seda’s business support the business achieved the following benefits:
• Sales increased from R 1 796 669 to R 1 947 464, an increase of 8.39%, and
