courses on all type of vehicles; code 8, 10, 14 and learners classes. They develop competent
drivers, in an environment of understanding and compassion. The emphasis is on the total
development of the driver, by ensuring that they can practice defensive driving skills,
safe themselves and their families from potential road accidents. It specialises in training
and services such as: K 53 Learner licence classes - all codes, K53 Drivers licence - all codes,
K53 / Pre trip training - All types of vehicles, Driver training / Driver evaluation - All
vehicles, Vehicle inspection - On site, Professional Driving Permit (PDP) Renewals for
Companies, Driver Assessments, Pre-employment Assessments, Advanced driving courses,
Defensive driver training courses, In-house dotty (Driver of the year), Driver training. Driving
lessons are done in Afrikaans, English and isiXhosa. Vehicles are roadworthy and fully insured
and installed with dual controls for customer’s safety. Instructors are equipped with a valid
instructor’s certificate.

Intervention Details:
Mr Elton Olivier approached Seda for assistance in June 2017; he consulted with one of the
Business Advisors who conducted a Critical Planning Exercise (CPE) on the business. The CPE
is a planning tool that prepares financial projections for twelve months or more and
simulates various "what if" scenarios. It assisted them in making accurate, realistic financial predictions and a plan to significantly contribute to the business viability. The CPE showed
that the business income needs to improve to ensure sustainability.
The following interventions were implemented:
• Facilitation of mentorship programme;
• Development of Marketing material, and
• Development of Online Programme.
