The business had a challenge with reaching its target market due to limited marketing and promotional activities.
Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
Seda’s diagnostic assessment revealed that there is a need to assist the business with access to local markets. The intervention was initiated to host a pop-up market where the business was supported with promotional material and a platform during the event to market and sell their products. The intervention made the company brand well known and they started to receive orders and sell their product. This intervention has brought an improvement in the company.
Outcome Details:
The business’ turnover has increased from R500 to R10 000. The business managed to sustain the previous employment and are looking into hiring employees in a short term. As at the time of conducting this assessment the company had started renting premises in Taung town and already in their second month of occupation. The company will continue to occupy their factory space in Maphoitsile village and use the rented space for market and retail sales.
