In 2022 the company was awarded a contractor’s position in the Karoo National Park. Since then through continual tender submission, the company has received contracts. The South African National Parks (SANParks) program that is supported by the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environmental Affairs.

Intervention Details:
The client approached Seda Central Karoo Branch to seek assistance with growth of their business. The client was referred to a Business Advisor who conducted a thorough diagnostic assessment, Critical Planning Exercise (CPE) on the business. The aim of the CPE is to plan and prepare financial projections for twelve months or more and simulates various “what if” scenarios. The assessment assisted the business to make accurate, realistic financial predictions and develop a plan, which significantly contribute to the business viability and how best to improve competitiveness and grow the business.
The following intervention was implemented:
• 22–Day Tender Training, and
• Assist the owner with signage.

The business achieved the following improvements:
• Business turnover increased from R 0 to R 176 255.96, and
