Intervention Details:
The business owner approached Seda and was assisted by Lizle Schultz, Business Advisor in the Nelson Mandela Bay Branch. After conducting an assessment, the Business Advisor was able to identify the gaps and recommended interventions to address the gaps. The business was assisted with the implementation of a financial system (Sage Accounting). The business was assisted with re-certification of the Quality Management System as well as the development of a basic website. Lastly, the owner was assisted to attend a pop-up market in the Greenacres mall to showcase her new product lines.
Outcome Details:
•The financial management system is used as a management tool enabling the owner to monitor income and expenses in the business, improving efficiencies.
•The QMS system was re-certified, allowing the business to source more work.
•The staff increased from 1 (owner only) to 32 employees (including owner), after the renewal of their cleaning contract with Eskom.
•The value of the contract is R3m.
