Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
An assessment of the business was conducted. It recommended that an intervention for product testing be conducted on white and brown bread. Samples were submitted to the BICSA for nutritional and vitamin analysis.
Outcome Details:
Blossom Bakery's bread was successfully tested, and the Certificate of analysis was issued. The company was then awarded a contract by Lafarge SA to supply bread and manage their cafeteria. Revenue has increased from R1 047 395.00 to R1 335 500.00. Employment has increased from three (3) to twelve (12) fulltime employees.
